The Ministry for Innovation and Technology has repeatedly called upon higher education institutions to keep students and lecturers adequately informed and to do all they can to prevent the spread of the virus.
The Climate and Nature Protection Action Plan consists of eight points, and its measures correspond to the three principal expectations of climate policy; namely, they contribute to the reduction of harmful substance emissions, serve to adapt to climate change, and play a part in shaping mentality, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said at a press conference held on Wednesday in Budapest.
“The Ministry for Innovation is working on the realisation of an upturn in the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy”, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology’s State Secretary for Economic Strategy and Regulation László György said on Thursday at the Budapest Stock Exchange’s Best Of 2019 award gala, year evaluation and year opener event.
“The Ministry for Innovation and Technology is drawing up a government sustainable development strategy”, the Ministry’s State Secretary for Construction Economy, Infrastructure and Sustainability Anita Boros announced at the official opening of the Sustainable Hungary 2020 – The Year of Sustainability series of programs at the Széchenyi István University in Győr on Monday.
“The funding for the Hungarian-American Fulbright scholarship program will by increasing from the current 250 million forints (EUR 740,000) to 400 million forints (EUR 1.2 million) by 2022”, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology’s State Secretary for European Union Development Projects Zsigmond Perényi announced at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.
Ministerial Commissioner for Space Research Dr. Orsolya Ferencz visited Singapore on 6-7 February 2020 as the head of the first Hungarian space industry delegation, to represent Hungary at the Global Space and Technology Convention (GSTC), a major space industry conference.
Last December, the turnover generated by the retail sector in the country and by retail sale of mail order houses or via Internet amounted to about HUF 1,250 billion breaking all former monthly records. The annual total of retail sale broke another record with its amount of nearly HUF 12,250 billon.

“2-2.5 percent of GDP, some 120 billion euros, will have to be invested in environmental protection development projects over the next 30 years to achieve the goal of climate neutrality in Hungary by 2050”, the Ministry for Innovation and Technology’s State Secretary for Energy and Climate Policy said on Saturday in Gödöllő.
On Tuesday, Péter Kaderják, State Secretary for Energy and Climate Policy, Ministry for Innovation and Technology (ITM) presented the energy and climate strategy decisions of the Government in his speech delivered at the Electricity Security Workshop of the International Energy Agency of Paris.
