Minister of Innovation and Technology László Palkovics received a delegation of 30 representatives from the US-Hungarian Business Council (USHBC) on 17 October 2018. At the meeting, the Minister briefed the delegation on the most important measures introduced by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, with relation to which the parties discussed further opportunities for cooperation.
“Hungary’s commitment to developing the Romanian-Hungarian gas corridor is unbroken”, Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Policy Péter Kaderják said on Monday at the on-site tour held at the Csanádpalota compressor station of the BRUA gas pipeline project, which was also attended by Ambassador of Romania to Hungary Marius Gabriel Lazurca and Ambassador-at-Large for Energy Security Pál Ságvári.
“The next EU budget must concentrate on research & development, digitalisation and reinforcing cohesion”, Minister for Innovation and Technology László Palkovics said at a press conference held by the Friends of Cohesion group of countries on Monday in Budapest.
“The Ministry of Innovation and Technology is puzzled by the statement issued by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) on Tuesday, according to which negotiation between the Ministry and the Academy have come to a standstill”, the Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday in which it objected to the fact that the MTA is attempting to place pressure on the Government by issuing the statement.
The government regards the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) operating in Hungary as an important partner which is comprised of businesses playing a significant role in the Hungarian economy, the Minister of Innovation and Technology told journalists after the Chamber’s business forum held on Friday in Budapest.
The Hungarian-Israeli Joint Committee for Economic Cooperation held its fifth session in Zalaegerszeg and Budapest on 11-12 June. “Following the meeting between the prime ministers of the two countries last summer, the development of self-driven cars has become one of the priority areas of accelerated bilateral cooperation”, Minister for Innovation and Technology and Chair of the Committee’s Hungarian delegation László Palkovics said in summary at the plenary session of the body on 12 June in Budapest.
