The Hungarian conference on demographics attracted a host of foreign visitors, which indicates that there is heightened interest in the Hungarian family support model.
Minister of Human Capacities Prof. Dr. Miklós Kásler received Bangladesh’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare Zahid Maleque and Vape Verde’s Minister of Education Maritza Rosabal in his office on Friday. The ministers were in the Hungarian capital to attend the 3rd Budapest Demographic Summit.
The demographic situation varies from country to country, but everywhere the goal is to find some kind of a solution. Therefore, monitoring, evaluating and interpreting demographic processes is literally a matter of life and death, the Minister of Human Capacities said on Thursday at the 3rd Budapest Demographic Summit.
Today demography is not just one cause of many; it is our most important common cause.
The government is committed to improving basic health care services. Since 2010, the funds allocated for basic dental care has increased from HUF 22 billion to HUF 33 billion.
“The Demographics Summit is being held for the third time in Budapest. On Thursday and Friday, politicians, scientists, church representatives and public figures will be holding lectures and exchanging experiences with relation to demographics challenges”, the Ministry of Human Capacities’ State Secretary for Family and Youth Affairs announced at a press conference in Budapest on Monday.
It is the duty and goal of the Hungarian government to support families raising children, diligent students and teachers pursuing their profession in a dedicated manner in every possible area, Minister of Human Capacities Miklós Kásler said at the national school year opening ceremony held on Sunday in Sárvár.
In just under two months, more than 36,000 people have applied for one form of support or another as part of the family protection action plan.
Several government measures seek to help families with the beginning of the school year this year.
According to State Secretary for Sport Tünde Szabó, it speaks for itself and is a sports diplomacy success that Hungary is having the opportunity to host several Olympic qualification world championships in the year before the summer games. “Our main goal was to bring as many international sports events as possible to Hungary”, she told reporters at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
