Speaking on Kossuth Radio’s Friday morning program, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said: a few days ago the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled against Hungary for expelling two Bangladeshi men following an absurd procedure.
The problem is not with civil society as a whole, but only with organisations which, united into international networks, operate with the sponsorship of foreign donors, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said on Thursday evening on the public service television news channel M1.
“Europe is facing a migration crisis, not a refugee crisis”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács told German national public television station ZDF on Friday.
“Hungary’s competitiveness is party dependent on the digital industry”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said on M1 Hungarian television’s Thursday evening current affairs program.
Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács responded to an article published in Tuesday’s edition of The New York Times in a blog post.
The Government has created the framework for the dignified commemoration of the 1848-1849 revolution and freedom fight, and everyone will have to celebrate in a dignified manner within that framework, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said at his Tuesday press conference held outside the Hungarian National Museum.
The number of migrants arriving in Hungary illegally can be reduced to effectively zero with the second fence erected on the southern border, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács stressed on the Thursday evening programme of the public service television news channel M1.
The Government Spokesperson takes the view that political attacks are being levelled at the law tightening the legal border closure.
“The fence is protecting the European Union, not Hungary, and if Hungary can stop illegal migration in this manner, then there is no need for the tailbacks at the Hegyeshalom border crossing station either, since it has also defended Austria”, Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI following background discussions at the Hungarian Embassy in Vienna on Monday.
“The monies spent on border protection are very obviously being recouped”, Zoltán Kovács said on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday evening current affairs programme. According to the Government Spokesperson, this is how we can avoid having to spend much more on illegal immigrants, who otherwise have no right to be in the European Union.
