Bertalan Havasi, Head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister, informed kormany.hu that Cuban human rights activist Óscar Elías Biscet, the politician behind the Emilia Project – one of the Cuban democratic opposition’s most important initiatives – visited Hungary at the invitation of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
On Kossuth Rádió’s “180 Minutes” programme on Friday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that the Hungarian economy has the financial means needed for a modern, accountable, reliable education system providing students with the most up-to-date knowledge.
In an interview on Kossuth Rádió’s “180 Minutes”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that both the Hungarians and the Poles deserve more respect from former and current leaders of the United States. He was responding to a recent accusation from former US President Bill Clinton, who said that Poland and Hungary “want Putin-like leadership”.
At the conference “Cars of the Future” at Budapest Technical University, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that since 2010 the Government has been working on turning Hungary into Central Europe’s automotive industry innovation centre. He said he would like to see Hungary showing the fastest rate of growth in research, development and innovation activities, as well as in the production of cars.
In Felcsút on Monday, after the final of the Puskás Suzuki Cup, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Hungary shall rise again in international football; its clubs will be successful, as well as the national team.

On Wednesday morning Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received President of the International Canoe Federation José Perurena, Secretary-General Simon Toulson, and President of the Hungarian Canoe Federation Etele Baráth.
After signing a cooperation agreement with Mayor of Veszprém Gyula Porga as part of the Modern Cities Programme, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that “Veszprém is a city which is in good spiritual, economic and political condition”.
With reference to the European Commission’s proposal to allow EU Member States to deny the resettlement of migrants in their countries on condition that they pay EUR 250,000 for each migrant denied entry, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has said that the plan is nothing short of outrageous.
