Following discussions between Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó and Secretary General of the Federation of Austrian Industry Christoph Neumayer on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed Hungarian news agency MTI that Austrian companies are reliable partners of Hungary.

The Government is offering a non-refundable grant of EUR 3.9bn for the Budapest Transport Company Ltd (BKV) to purchase electric buses, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga announced yesterday. The agreement on e-mobility development project was signed by Minister Varga and BKV CEO-President Tibor Bolla. The fiscal resources required for the purchasing of electric buses and related infrastructure development will be covered by revenues from Hungary’s CO2 quota sales.

In October 2015, the volume of industrial output grew by 10.1 percent year-on-year, and thus the sector’s has been expanding for the 26th consecutive month. In the period January-October 2015, output was up by 7.1 percent year-on-year. The sector’s growth has been steady: output was higher in eleven of the sector’s altogether thirteen divisions and industrial output rose in every region.
