Rumours claiming that migrants would be sheltered in any locality in Veszprém County are totally without foundation.
The goal is to „remove” illegal border-crossers from the territory of Hungary; however, if they must for some reason serve their sentences here, Hungarian penal enforcement is prepared for their reception, Minister of State of the Ministry of Interior Károly Kontrát said on Monday in the programme 180 minutes of the radio station Kossuth Rádió.
Due to its geography, Hungary does not have the resources and technical means appropriate for maritime operations, and it is therefore understandable that it cannot participate in the Triton 2015 operation by the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union (Frontex).
