Former Republican Member of Congress Connie Mack has been appointed Hungary’s American public advocate, tasked with involvement in the representation of the country’s interests in the United States, Press Chief of the Prime Minister's Office Bertalan Havasi announced.
“The whole refugee crisis, this whole migration and the whole problem of economic immigration, if viewed from the right perspective, is nothing more than an identity crisis on the part of liberalism”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán explained in his speech at the annual Civil Picnic in Kötcse on 5 September, the full text of which was published by Hungarian weekly Demokrata on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister takes the view that the current wave of migration is a threat to the European lifestyle, which we must defend, and we can only preserve Europe as it is if we do not let everyone in.
Mr Orbán spoke about this to the television channel TV2 in an interview which was broadcast in its entirety late Monday night.
