On behalf of the Presidency of the Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Union, Party President and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has written that “We pay tribute to the memory of former head of state Árpád Göncz, who was an active and important political figure during the years in which Hungary set out on the path of transition from dictatorship to democracy”.

In a statement of condolence sent to Hungarian press agency MTI, the Presidency of the Fidesz-Hungarian Civic Union has expressed its sympathy to the family of Árpád Göncz, who passed away on Tuesday.
