“We must not simply win an election; we must protect the country and secure the future”, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Monday in Szerencs.

According to the latest video to be posted to his Facebook page, during his visit to the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County city the Prime Minister said: Europe is in serious trouble. This is perhaps not so obvious from here, but now that with the help of modern technology everyone has a window on the world, we can see “what states of affairs exist”, and also that few countries have been able to protect themselves from this, he added.

“But the Czechs, the Poles, the Slovaks and we have stood our ground well”, Mr. Orbán said, adding that only because the majority we had in Parliament in recent years meant not even we could be intimidated or blackmailed.

The Prime Minister stressed that the government wants order, peace and work. You know us well and you also know that we are not infallible, but there are certain things in which we believe strongly, and I believe the future of the country depends on these things. “We believe in three simple things: work, family and homeland”, Mr. Orbán declared.

It is these three things that we must serve and represent, it is these values that must be placed before all others, and then the country will function, he said. “Let us not put the future of Hungary into the hands of people who are incapable of defending our homeland or do not even want to attempt the task”, the Prime Minister underlined.
