Bertalan Havasi, Press Chief of the Prime Minister has told Hungarian news agency MTI that on 19 February Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is travelling to Sofia to hold talks with Boyko Borisov Prime Minister of Bulgaria holding the current rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Referring to the announcement of the Government of Sofia, Bulgarian news portal Novinite.com reports that on 19-20 February, Viktor Orbán and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz will be travelling to Sofia.

On 1 January 2018, Bulgaria took over the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union from Estonia. On 1 July 2018, Austria will take over the Presidency.
