Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is taking the opinion of the 2.3 million people who rejected the “Soros Plan” during the National Consultation to Brussels for the European Union summit that begins on Thursday.
In a video published on his Facebook page, the Prime Minister said “our situation has improved significantly because I can now take with me in my backpack the opinion of those two million three hundred thousand Hungarian people who have made it clear that they do not want a Soros Plan and do not support the fact that Brussels should implement a plan of this nature”.
Mr. Orbán stressed that Hungary is the only country in Europe in which the government dared to ask the people their opinions with regard to migration and immigration.
“These 2.3 million people give added weight to the Hungarian standpoint and improve the country’s chances in the debate”, he said, indicating that migration will also be on the agenda at the EU summit.
The video of the Prime Minister was recorded at Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport on Thursday morning prior to the Hungarian delegation’s departure for Brussels.
