“On Tuesday, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán will receive parliamentary group leader of the European People’s Party (EPP) and the party’s top candidate for the European Parliament (EP) elections Manfred Weber in Budapest”, Deputy State Secretary heading the Prime Minister’s Press Office Bertalan Havasi told Hungarian news agency MTI on Monday.
Manfred Weber announced in German Sunday paper Welt am Sonntag that he is initiating talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán with relation to the dispute over the Fidesz party’s membership of the EPP.
“The Tuesday meeting will not be open to the press, and a statement will be made later in accordance to the agreement between the two parties”, Mr. Havasi said.
