Minister of State Bertalan Havasi, Head of the Prime Minister’s Press Office, has told kormany.hu that on Sunday afternoon Prime Minister Viktor Orbán travelled to the southern Serbian city of Niš for a two-day Serbian-Hungarian intergovernmental cabinet summit.

He added that, in addition to Mr. Orbán, almost every Hungarian government minister will take part in the negotiations during the summit’s joint plenary session and in bilateral meetings between individual Hungarian and Serbian ministers.

On Monday morning Prime Minister Orbán and his host, Serbian prime minister Aleksandar Vučić, were scheduled to view the Örosek-Bancarevo motorway, which forms part of an important transport corridor. After this the two heads of government held bilateral talks in Niš.

Following the joint plenary session of the two countries’ governments on Monday, agreements negotiated in the meetings will be signed, and the two prime ministers will hold a joint press conference.

The Prime Minister’s press chief told kormany.hu that in the afternoon Mr. Orbán and Mr. Vučić would attend a business forum held in parallel with the intergovernmental summit, after which Prime Minister Orbán will make a speech at the opening ceremony of OTP bank’s new regional headquarters in Niš.
