Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has sent a letter of congratulations to former President of France Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, who turned 90 years old on Tuesday.

 

In his letter, Mr. Orbán wrote that “we remember you as a great President of France, who always treated Hungary and Hungarian issues with respect and friendship”.

The Prime Minister thanked the former President for his personal friendship, and asked him to maintain the goodwill he has shown to Hungary.

Valéry Giscard d'Estaing was President of the French Republic between 1974 and 1981.
