Prime Minister Viktor Orbán sent a letter of congratulations to Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his re-election as President of Turkey, Bertalan Havasi, the deputy state secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister said on Monday morning.
“Turkey’s stability is good news for the whole of Europe as our continent is facing a number of grave security challenges, to conquer which predictable and effective cooperation with Turkey is essential”, the Hungarian Prime Minister wrote.
Mr Orbán reassured President Erdogan that his government “will be committed to making every effort also in the future in the interest of further developing our bilateral relations equally in the fields of economic and trade cooperation as well as in the fields of educational and cultural cooperation”.
At the end of his letter the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed hope that the Turkish President’s visit to Hungary which was postponed earlier will take place within the shortest possible time, the press chief said.
