Hungary and Poland bear the joint responsibility of a thousand years for Europe’s peace, freedom and advancement, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote in his letter of congratulations addressed to new Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki which Bertalan Havasi, the head of the Press Office of the Prime Minister disclosed to the Hungarian news agency MTI.
“Please allow me to take this opportunity to congratulate you upon your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland. I believe that with joint action and in close cooperation we may create new opportunities for our countries on the European scene which will also contribute to the success of Central Europe”, Mr Orbán wrote. The Prime Minister noted he was pleased that on the occasion of the upcoming meeting of the European Council they would also have the possibility to discuss common tasks and challenges in person. “I wish you every success with your responsible assignment as well as with the attainment of the goals of the Polish Government under your leadership”, the Prime Minister wrote in closing.
