In connection with the boat accident on the Danube, South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon thanked Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for his condolences, and also thanked the Hungarian government for its support and cooperation, Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief informed the Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday.
“The tragic accident deeply shocked the Korean people. Allow me to thank you for the active support and cooperation provided by the Hungarian government so far,” Mr Lee Nak-yeon wrote in his message.
He added that the special attention and support manifested during the search and rescue efforts which were made to locate the persons who disappeared in the accident provided great comfort and hope for the Korean government and people.
“I sincerely hope that as a result of conquering this crisis situation together, the friendship and mutual trust between the two nations will further intensify,” the Prime Minister of South Korea wrote in conclusion.
