Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong stressed the excellent relations between Hungary and the Southeast Asian country and recalled last year’s official visit to Singapore by the Hungarian Prime Minister in a letter congratulating Viktor Orbán on his recent election victory, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi informed Hungarian news agency MTI on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister of Singapore expressed his hope that the two countries will succeed in further increasing their cooperation in several fields including trade, investment and education.
“Singapore greatly appreciates Hungary’s support of the EU-Singapore free trade agreement, which, once it comes into force, will boost bilateral trade”, Lee Hsien Loong wrote.
