In his reply to Viktor Orbán, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked the Hungarian Prime Minister for his unshakeable friendship and the close alliance that has been established in recent years, and wished his Hungarian counterpart much success for his upcoming third consecutive term in office, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi informed Hungarian news agency MTI.
Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Prime Minister Orbán for his letter, which he sent last week to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel. Mr. Netanyahu praised the progress that Hungary and Israel have made with relation to developing bilateral relations and within the framework of V4-Israel cooperation. The Israeli Prime Minister also recalled his visit to Budapest last year, during the course of which he experienced the strong support that the Hungarian Government is affording local Jewish communities to help them preserve their heritage and prosper.
