Bertalan Havasi, the Prime Minister’s press chief told Hungarian news agency MTI that on Sunday in the Parliament Building Prime Minister Viktor Orbán received Tomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee, who came to Budapest in order to visit the events of the Judo World Championships.

Mr. Orbán confirmed that Hungary’s commitment and support for the Olympic movement remains undiminished. Budapest has become an international sports city, a place which is happy to host the world’s athletes also in the future, the Prime Minister said. Accordingly, Hungary is ready, and will continue to bid for the organisation of further world-level sporting events, the Deputy State Secretary heading the Press Office of the Prime Minister said in describing the proceedings of the meeting.
