Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Managing Director of the National Federation of Swimming (FINA) Cornel Marculescu held talks in Budapest’s Carmelite Monastery on the prestigious aquatic sporting events to be held in Hungary in the upcoming years, the Prime Minister’s Press Chief, Bertalan Havasi told Hungarian news agency MTI.
The meeting was also attended by Government Commissioner for Major Budapest Development Projects and International Sports Tenders Balázs Fürjes. The main topic of discussion at the meeting was the FINA Champions Swim Series due to be held on 11-12th May this year in the Duna Arena in Budapest.
The parties gladly determined that Budapest has become one of the international centres for aquatic sports, Mr. Havasi said.
