Bertalan Havasi Press Chief of the Prime Minister has told Hungarian news agency MTI that Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is travelling to Ankara on Thursday to take part in a high-level strategic council meeting together with his ministers; this is to all intents and purposes a Hungarian-Turkish “cabinet meeting”, an inter-governmental summit.
This is the third inter-governmental meeting of its kind. In addition to Deputy Prime Minister Zsolt Semjén, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, Minister for National Economy Mihály Varga, Minister of Human Capacities Zoltán Balog, Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas, Minister of Defence István Simicskó and Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták, the Turkish program will also be attended by Deputy Interior Minister Károly Kontrát and a delegation of 72 Hungarian businesspeople.
Prime Minister Orbán will be holding separate talks with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim, after which they will be jointly participating in the Hungarian-Turkish Business Forum. The Hungarian Prime Minister will also be received by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Speaker of Parliament Ismail Kahraman, Mr. Havasi said in the statement.
