Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has thanked Viktor Orbán for Hungary’s offer of financial aid for the mitigation of flood damage in Serbia, Deputy-State Secretary for the Prime Minister’s Press Staff Bertalan Havasi told Hungarian news agency MTI.

At a conference in Brussels in mid-July, Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Tíbor Navracsics offered 300 million forints (1 million euros) in financial aid in the name of Hungary to help mitigate flood damage suffered in Serbia and Bosnia-Hercegovina.

In his letter, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić expressed his sincere and profound gratitude to Hungary for the country’s support, which, he wrote, will be a huge help to those in need. The contribution of the Hungarian Government is the best proof of the friendship between our countries and peoples, the Serbian Prime Minister stressed in his letter to his Hungarian counterpart, Viktor Orbán.
