“Migration must be prevented, and this is why the Hungarian Government is taking assistance to source countries”, Minister of State for the Aid of Persecuted Christians Tristan Azbej from the Prime Minister’s Office said on Hungarian M1 television’s Monday morning current affairs program and Kossuth Radio’s “Good Morning, Hungary!” show.
From among the countries and regions being given assistance via the Hungary Helps Program, the Minister of State highlighted the Congo and Kenya, as well as North Africa and the Middle East.
“We use various filters when choosing programmes to be funded on site. Important criteria include where people are in danger and from where people are setting out for Europe”, he said.
Mr. Azbej said the Government is also handling the helping of Christian communities as a priority.
