Minister in Charge of the Prime Minister’s Office János Lázár will be visiting Brussels on Thursday in the company of Minister of State for European Union Development Projects Eszter Zsuzsanna Vitályos and Minister of State for EU Affairs Szabolcs Ferenc Takács, where he will be holding talks with EU Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu and Walter Deffaa, Head of the Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy.

On the agenda at the meeting will be the tasks relating to the closing of the 2007-2013 development period and preparations for the launching of tenders for the current period ending in 2020.

During the visit, János Lázár will also meet with EU Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Tibor Navracsics, following which he will be holding discussions with the head of Hungary’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.

This will be the first time that the Minister in Charge of the Prime Minister’s Office will meet members of the Permanent Representation since the government supervision of European Union affairs was transferred from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade to the Prime Minister’s Office at the end of 2014.
