With the March payments included, Hungary has succeeded in drawing HUF 7200 billion from the funds available for Hungary during the 2007-2013 budgetary period. Until mid-March, bills and pre-payments amounting to HUF 325 billion have been paid and accounted. According to the monthly payment rate set in the respective government decree, the target for the end of March is HUF 395 billion, which we have succeeded in fulfilling to 82% by the middle of the month.

One month after publishing the – monthly updated – list of publicly financed late project in the palyazat.gov.hu webpage in February 2015, it is visible that the Hungarian government has succeeded in stimulating developers. With this step, the government wished to warn developers in delay, as – amongst others – it may depend on these projects whether Hungary succeeds in drawing the total allocation for the 2007-2013 period.

Compared to February 2015 (1716 projects), the number of late projects in the public/local government sector has significantly decreased by March (1333 projects); the underpayment in their case – compared to the end of 2014 targets - has been reduced by over HUF 100 billion.

According to previous experience, over half of the annual payments are being realized in the last two months of the year, therefore there is a good chance for Hungary breaking a record in payments in 2015 as well.
