On 22 January a joint cabinet meeting of the Hungarian and Slovenian governments will be held in Slovenia. The event will be chaired by Prime Ministers Viktor Orbán and Miro Cerar.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Tuesday in Hanoi that “Vietnam is one of the engines of economic development of the Southeast Asian region, and therefore it is in Hungary’s external economic interests to tighten its cooperation with the country”.
The Government of Hungary has learnt with great concern and dismay of this morning’s bomb blasts in the centre of Jakarta. In November 2015, the volume of industrial output grew by 9.5 percent year-on-year, while in the initial eleven months of the year the sector accumulated output growth of 7.3 percent. Tourism arrivals were up with regard to both foreign and domestic guests in November 2015. Accommodation establishment revenues generated by domestic guests rose by 17.3 percent year-on-year, as domestic tourism traffic saw further stable growth. Thus, in spite of the light drop in the number of tourism nights by foreigners, the total number of tourism nights grew by 2.4 percent.

Reacting to a statement by Sweden’s foreign minister on Monday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told Hungarian news agency MTI in a statement that recently it has become obvious that the press has more freedom in Eastern Europe than in the continent’s western half.
On Monday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán congratulated the creators and actors of Son of Saul for winning the Golden Globe Award in Los Angeles for best foreign language film.
