On Saturday, György Bakondi, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister told public television channel M1 that general cooperation between secret services is not an option, but real time exchange of information must be established to combat terrorism.
The Chief Security Advisor said that currently there is no information on a potential attack against Hungary, but an anti-terror action plan is needed as the measures included in it ensure protection.
Mr. Bakondi also said that the terror alert will be maintained on the current level as long as all strands of the Brussels attacks are cleared, including the question whether the terrorists had in fact entered the EU’s territories via Hungary. The event is being processed, the actions of the police are still on-going, he added.
