“2016 will see the beginning of 1100 billion forints (EUR 3.5bn) of investment in transport throughout Hungary, 670 billion (EUR 2.1bn) of which will already be spent in 2016”, László Tasó announced.
On Tuesday in Paris, Minister of State for Energy András Aradszki Director–General of the Global Green Growth Institute Yvo de Boer concluded a bilateral agreement. Hungary has taken another significant step towards calling a strong climate protection cooperation to life and successfully implementing the new climate convention.

At the 9th Central European Energy Conference organised on 23 November in Bratislava, Minister of State for Energy András Aradszki emphasised that issues of security of energy supply and affordable energy prices have to be handled as primary objectives in the implementation of the Energy Union’s strategy, and these criteria have to be fulfilled simultaneously.
At the closing event of the “Supercomputing in higher education” project in Budapest on Wednesday, Ákos Kara, Secretary of State for Infocommunications and Consumer Protection, said that the largest supercomputing development in Hungary has been completed, and that this will aid scientific cooperation between higher education and industry.

State Secretary for Energy András Aradszki has said that international cooperation is essential for energy security and sustainable energy management, its primary aims being to eliminate the risk factors related to supply routes and to support energy trading. Mr. Aradszki was speaking at the Budapest Energy Charter Forum, which was jointly organised on 07 October 2015 by the Ministry of National Development and the Energy Charter Secretariat.

The new maintenance hangar constructed as a HUF 1bn investment at Liszt Ferenc International Airport was inaugurated in Budapest on 31 August, 2015. At the inauguration ceremony Minister of National Development Miklós Seszták emphasised it was Hungary’s fundamental interest to increase its competitiveness at the aviation market and provide services of proper quality, for which the inauguration of the new hangar could be considered a milestone. In addition to increasing competitiveness, the hangar would ensure an enhanced role for Hungary in aviation.
