“If the proposal put forward by Jobbik with reference to the constitutional amendment were to be adopted then not even tourist visas could be issued”, Parliamentary State Secretary Pál Völner from the Ministry of Justice said at a press conference in Esztergom on Tuesday.
The politician pointed out that the state also charges a fee in this case, which may be regarded as the price of entry into the country.
“This is another indication of the fact that this party has no government or local government experience”, said Mr. Völner, according to whom Jobbik backed out of the constitutional amendment using a “trumped-up excuse”.
The State Secretary said that a strange coalition had come about with regard to the amendment of the Fundamental Law, in which the opposition was not taking into account the interests of the country but was engaged in politics according to momentary party interests.
In the upcoming weeks the Constitutional Court will be examining the Ombudsman’s submission according to which mandatory resettlement also violates human rights in view of the fact that nobody can be forced to live in a different country to the one they wanted to emigrate to, he added.
