Minister of Justice László Trócsányi signed a cooperation agreement with Mahfouz Saber Abdel Kader, the Egyptian Minister of Justice, at the end of his four-day visit in Egypt on 23 September.

In line with the agreement, the ministries will work together in areas such as the placement of children from mixed marriages focusing on the interest of the child and avoiding prolonged disputes. In the course of negotiations, the need for information exchange in victim protection was expressed and László Trócsányi said that the emphasis had to be placed on prevention. The parties also agreed to continue negotiations in Hungary where conferences and the exchange of experts are planned.

Minister Trócsányi was accompanied by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and current Head of the Francophone Centre of the University of Szeged, János Martonyi and Rector of the University of Szeged, Gábor Szabó at the opening ceremony of the academic year at Senghor University in Alexandria. According to the cooperation agreement signed by the two universities, the Egyptian university will set up a campus in Szeged.
