The Hungarian Ministry of the Interior's orders from the period 1945-1958 have been digitalised in a project organised by the National Archives of Hungary and the National University of Public Service.

Zsuzsanna Mikó, Head of the National Archives, told a press conference that from July the digitalised documents would be made available on the institution's homepage.

The documents cover all kinds of areas, from regulations on internment camps to dog training, Andras Patyi, the university's head said. The 30,000 pages open up new chapters in the history of the Hungarian society, political history, and security policy, he added. The digitalisation process will continue depending on further financial support.
