The Kingdom of Morocco’s Minister in charge of water Ms. Charafat Afailal and her delegation arrived in Hungary on 25 July 2016 for a three-day professional programme aimed at tightening cooperation between the two countries in the field of water management.

On the first day of the visit, the delegation attended a presentation organised by the National Directorate of Water Management, the main topic of which was the effects of climate change on water management. Following the presentation, the delegation was provided with a general overview of Hungarian water management, drought strategy and irrigation and water resource management, in addition to which they viewed the mobile dam at Szentendre.

On 27 July, the delegation was received by Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. László Felkai at the Ministry of Interior, where the parties signed a joint declaration of intent, which now provides the framework for future agreements to facilitate the reinforcement of professional relations, the transfer of knowledge and the development of business relations.
