Members of the Charitable Council – the Caritas Hungarica, the Hungarian Reformed Church Aid, the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta, the Baptist Aid, the Hungarian Red Cross and the Hungarian Interchurch Aid – are uniting their efforts, this time in order to provide humanitarian aid for the migrants arriving in Hungary.
These organisations have been present for some time in the Hungarian localities which are in the centre of mass migration, but similar to the Danube flood and the aid deliveries to Ukraine earlier, their efforts must be coordinated and organised. Miklós Soltész, President of the Charitable Council will begin consultations with the agencies and organisations concerned, including the Ministry of Interior, the Hungarian Police Force, the Hungarian railway company MÁV, the Office of Migration and Nationality, and the Directorate General for Social and Child Protection.
