Minister for Human Capacities Zoltán Balog, whose portfolio includes culture, has joined the common declaration initiated by the Latvian Presidency of the European Union and the French Minister of Culture.
The document points out that freedom of expression, including artistic expression, is a fundamental European value. The member states of the European Union remain committed to defending these values in future.
The Ministers of Culture of the 27 member states jointly condemn the barbaric act that undermines our most important values and core principles through violence.
