For forty years there had not been as many marriages as in February, and almost nine per cent more children were born in the first two months of this year than a year earlier, the Minister of State for Family and Youth Affairs of the Ministry of Human Capacities said on the public service television news channel M1 on Friday.

Katalin Novák added that in the first two months of the year, some one thousand two hundred more children were born than in January-February 2019.

Citing the Minister of State, it was highlighted on the programme that in the first two months of the year, young people concluded marriages and decided to have children more confidently than before, and there is also ever more faith in the future which is not independent of the government’s consistent family-centred policy pursued since 2010.
