The European Large Families Confederation (ELFAC) recognized with an award Hungary’s Erzsébet programme, launched three years ago to offer holiday opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged children and their families.
On behalf of Hungary, the award was accepted by Minister of State for Family and Youth Affairs Katalin Novák on Saturday at an ELFAC conference in Cascais, Portugal.
The Minister of State said the programme has reached 400,000 participants and it was also noteworthy that this was the first time that the ELFAC awarded a state for its help offered to the families.
