On Wednesday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó told Hungarian News Agency MTI in a statement that solving the Syrian situation and stopping the Islamic is only possible if the Transatlantic Community and Russia consult with each other.
According to the statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the instability in the regions surrounding Europe and consequently the migration pressure on Europe have two fundamental reasons: the on-going war in Syria and the expansion of the Islamic State.
Mr. Szijjártó added that the only possible way of successfully combatting these problems and of solving the Syrian situation and stopping the Islamic State is if the Transatlantic Community and Russia are able to agree on a solution.
Mr. Szijjártó stressed that the lack of an agreement will result in uncoordinated actions and will eventually lead to a deeper crisis. There can be no solution without the Transatlantic Community, or without Russia. Therefore the most important tasks are keeping a cool head and reaching an agreement as soon as possible, he said.
