“Within the framework of the foreign affairs consultation mechanism between the two countries, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman Ahmed Bin Yousif Al Harthy visited Hungary on 27-28 April 2015.
During the visit, he negotiated with Deputy State Secretary for the “Opening to the East” Csaba Balogh on our bilateral political and economic relations as well as on regional issues.
Both parties expressed their commitment to the finalisation of the Hungarian-Omani intergovernmental agreement on avoiding double taxation. During his two-day visit, the Omani State Secretary visited MOL, negotiated with Deputy State Secretary for International and EU Affairs of the Ministry of Human Capacities Gergely Prőhle and he held a lecture on 28 April at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Oman is Hungary’s important trading partner: the owner of the Four Seasons Gresham Palace Hotel in Budapest is Omani and the Omani State-owned oil company has a share in MOL.”
