In a statement issued on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced that Serbian foreign minister Ivica Dačić will pay an official visit to Budapest in October.
According to the statement to Hungarian news agency MTI, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó – who was visiting Serbia as part of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s delegation – and his Serbian counterpart agreed on the visit in their bilateral talks.
They also agreed to accelerate cross-border road construction projects and to cooperate more closely on cross-border energetics developments in order to improve Central Europe’s energy security. At the meeting the Hungarian minister also emphasised that supporting Serbia’s EU accession talks remains a priority.
