“The American corporate executives expressed particular praise with relation to the government’s Economy Protection Action Plan”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a statement to Hungarian news agency MTI on Wednesday after receiving a delegation from the US-Hungary Business Council (USHBC) in Budapest.
“The American corporate executives regard the funding of investment projects as a good decision, and remain committed to developing and expanding their presence in Hungary”, Mr. Szijjártó highlighted.
“U.S. companies form the second largest investor community in Hungary, and the some 1500 American enterprises operating here employ over 100 thousand people. 16 U.S. companies have committed themselves to realising new investment projects within the framework of the Competitiveness-Increasing Program at a total value of 37.3 billion forints (EUR 103.5 million), thereby protecting 12,391 workplaces in Hungary”, he informed the press.
