On Thursday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó welcomed British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Philip Hammond who is paying a two-day visit to Budapest.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade informed MTI that the British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs is conducting negotiations with his Hungarian counterpart about the challenges that the European Union is facing. They will hold discussions of improving the EU’s competitiveness, immigration issues, the importance of keeping the specification of energy resources used under national competence, and the conflict in Ukraine.
