On Thursday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó received Speaker of Polish Parliament Marek Kuchcinski with whom, amongst others, he discussed Central European cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade told Hungarian news agency MTI.
Both described Visegrád Group cooperation as important and agreed that Central European solidarity is in the mutual interests of both Poland and Hungary. The parties agreed to further reinforce cooperation between their two countries, the statement read.
Central Europe needs North-South infrastructure development projects, they both stressed.
During the meeting, Mr. Szijjártó said that Hungary strongly condemns and rejects the international attacks against Poland and declared that Poland and the Polish people should only be spoken about with respect, the Ministry’s statement reads.
