In line with the instruction of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó, the Ambassador of Hungary accredited to Zagreb submitted a letter of protest to the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia.

The Ministry of Interior of Croatia has stated that they will only open the most important border-crossing point between Serbia and Croatia under the condition that Serbian authorities channel migrants towards Hungary.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic has discussed the situation with Mr. Szijjártó over the phone: they agreed that in light of European standards, the request of Croatia is unacceptable.

Hungary calls on Croatia to return to European manners, to provide care for the migrants and to register them.
