“Hungary is fully adhering to Schengen regulations”, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó informed his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued to Hungarian news agency MTI by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Szijjártó spoke by telephone with his German colleague, whom he informed: thanks to Hungarian border protection measures, the flow of illegal immigrants along our southern borders has stopped, as a result of which no more illegal immigrants are reaching Germany via Hungary.
The two foreign ministers also discussed the situation in Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, in view of the fact that Mr. Szijjártó will be in Moscow on Wednesday for talks with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
