Kristóf Altusz, Deputy State Secretary for European and American Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade had consultations on 6 March 2017 in Budapest with Iveta Hricova, EU Affairs Director General at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic.

The parties reviewed topical issues regarding bilateral relations and issues which are currently featured on the European Union’s agenda, and exchanged their views on the tasks related to the Hungarian Presidency of the V4 countries to begin in July 2017 and other international topics. They concluded that the mixed committee system that exists between the two countries is proving to be a good framework for the management of issues of bilateral cooperation and any problems that may emerge from time to time. They both greatly appreciated the most recent developments in the field of bilateral infrastructure projects, and agreed that the current atmosphere of cooperation favours the continued, comprehensive improvement of economic, social and political relations between the two countries.

The Slovak Director General was received by Levente Magyar, State Secretary for Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade at a courtesy meeting.
