Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz travelled to Finland on Tuesday, 25 November. During his visit, he met with Jukka Salovaara, European Director of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland and Lauri Tierala, special advisor on EU affairs of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Finland.

The aim of the consultations was to exchange views on the most important EU related and international issues, as well as to facilitate both political and economic relations between Hungary and Finland. Topics of EU institutional changes, enlargement, Eastern Partnership, energy security, security policy etc. dominated the agenda of the consultations. During his stay in Helsinki, the Hungarian Deputy State Secretary paid a visit to the Hungarian Cultural and Scientific Institute in Helsinki and met the leadership of the of the Finnish-Hungarian Association.
