Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz travelled to Estonia on Wednesday, 26 November. During his visit, he met with Mart Laanemäe, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia and Paul Teesalu Political Director of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.
The aim of the consultations was to facilitate both political and economic relations between Hungary and Estonia in the long lasting tradition of Finno-Ugric kinship as well as to exchange views on the most important EU related and international issues. Topics of EU institutional changes, enlargement, Eastern Partnership, energy security, security policy, regional cooperation etc. dominated the agenda of the consultations.
During his stay in Tallinn, the Hungarian Deputy State Secretary paid a visit to the Hungarian Institute in Tallinn and to the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence. He also met with Mall Hellam and István Bán, honorary consuls of Hungary in the Republic of Estonia.
