Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz paid a visit to Prague on 26-27 May 2015, where he participated at the International Conference “Living with Dignity”, organised by the Prague based European Shoah Legacy Institute (ESLI). The event was held under the patronage of Lubomír Zaorálek, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Michaela Marksová, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs highlighting welfare issues of the Holocaust survivors and other victims of Nazi persecution.
In his capacity as Deputy Head of the Hungarian IHRA Delegation Kristóf Altusz met Jiří Šitler, Head of the Czech IHRA Delegation and the Special Envoy of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Holocaust era issues. The partners discussed the program and the main goals of the Hungarian IHRA Presidency, as well as the most urgent challenges the ESLI is facing.
Deputy State Secretary Kristóf Altusz also held talks with his Czech counterpart, Ivo Šrámek Deputy Foreign Minister. Discussed topic were the EU policy on the growing migration pressure, the possibilities of further deepening civil cooperation among the two countries, the program and main goals of the up-coming Czech V4 Presidency. The partners also exchanged views on the European integration process of Ukraine.
